Paterson called up for World Cup games

The first game against the Poles will be played in two weeks time on Saturday 28th March with the game against Slovenia four days later.

Pato was in the starting eleven for their last game against San Marino in February, replacing former Claret Kyle Lafferty who was played out on the left hand side. Lafferty was yellow carded in that game and is one of three players suspended for the first of these two games against Poland.

The full squad is: Taylor (Birmingham), Mannus (Linfield), Tuffey (Partick Thistle), Craigan (Motherwell), Hughes (Fulham), McAuley (Ipswich), McGivern (Manchester City), Baird (Fulham), Evans (Manchester United), McCann (Scunthorpe), Brunt (West Brom), McGinn (Celtic), Clingan (Norwich), Johnson (Birmingham), McCourt (Celtic), Shiels (Doncaster), Healy (Sunderland), Feeney (Dundee United), Paterson (Burnley), Ward (Sheffield United).

McCartney (Sunderland), Lafferty (Rangers) and Davis (Rangers) will be added for the second game against Slovenia.
