Burnley scored three times in the first quarter of the game against Paul Jewell's side and it was the two goalscorers, along with the player who claimed two assists, that took all the points.

In the site's man of the match vote, Paterson was again a massive winner with 52.8% of the vote. There was a battle for second place but Chris Eagles finally won it with 18.3% whilst Kevin McDonald came third with 16.1% of the vote.

The player ratings thread on the message board had exactly the same result with the same three players taking the top three places. Paterson's rating was 8.81 out of 10 whilst Eagles was second with a rating of 8.14 and McDonald third, and his rating was 8.00 out of 10.

Paterson picks up another six points, there are four for Eagles and two for McDonald. Paterson was the first leader this season after picking up the points at Hillsborough but was finally knocked off the top by Chris McCann. But this second six point game in succession has taken him back to the top of the table.

Eagles has also moved up, climbing into fourth place above captain Steven Caldwell whilst McDonald is now in joint tenth place with left back Stephen Jordan.
