Pash takes charge

The squad are back in training today for the first time since Jason Tindall took the session last Friday, and it was Pash who oversaw the training.

He'll be supported by assistant youth team coach Andy Farrell, goalkeeper coach Billy Mercer and academy director Jason Blake, although Blake has travelled to Scunthorpe today for a development squad friendly against the League One side.

Pash will be in charge until a new appointment is made and, should that come after Saturday, he'll be in charge for the televised home game against Blackpool, a club for whom he played after leaving Burnley.

He played over 200 games for Blackpool before moving on to Bury where he ended his playing career.

He's the longest serving member of the club's coaching staff by some distance having taken up his position within the youth department in 1992.

He's stood in previously with the first team, supporting Martin Dobson in January 2010, Stuart Gray in January 2011 and Jason Tindall in March this year when Eddie Howe was away following the sad death of his mum.

But this is the first time he's been named caretaker. Good luck to him, he's a top man, and it's fully deserved.
