Parky left Blackpool at the end of last season and had a short spell with David Miller’s Stalybridge Celtic at the beginning of this season but has now signed for Rossendale United.

He won’t be the only ex-Claret in the side either, last week the Rossendale side included Chris Scott and former reserve team player Jason Heffernan.

It is now almost six years since he left Turf Moor after signing for Jimmy Mullen’s promotion chasing team in 1994 and going on to score the winning goal in the play off final at Wembley. He followed Kurt Nogan to Deepdale with David Eyres not far behind and then moved on to Blackpool before being released at the end of last season.

Tomorrow he is expected to line up for Rossendale at Kidsgrove in their Unibond League fixture.
