O'Neill to consider Djemba-Djemba future

The Clarets boss has made no secret of the fact that he'd like to have the Cameroon international back at Turf Moor next season and a few days ago said he was hoping to speak to his counterpart at Villa Park.

O'Neil said today: "Steve Cotterill has spoken to me very, very briefly on it. I know that there season has just ended. I will sit down with Eric. I will sit down with whoever he has working for him as well at the same time and I'll discuss it. I will think it through."

Eric has been a player very much in form since winning a regular place in the Burnley side and his is the name on the lips of most fans as Steve looks to strengthen his squad during the summer ahead of the 2007/08 campaign.

The player has previously said he would be happy to return to Turf Moor if he's not going to get a game at Villa Park. He's not played for them since O'Neill took over and has made only four Premiership starts for them since signing from Manchester United in January 2005.
