O'Neill loan extended

He joined Accy four weeks ago tomorrow, too late for their big home win against Barnet and he wasn’t fit enough to play the following Tuesday against Halifax.

Since then he has been in the squad and has made three appearances, one of them as a substitute. He scored in their Conference Cup win against Northwich Victoria but in his two league appearances against Forest Green Rovers and Carlisle they have picked up just the one point.

His season had previously been restricted to reserve team football and warming the first team bench, his last first team action for Burnley was at Leeds back in November.

Accrington have nine league games left, as well as the cup, and he will be available to play in all but a couple of them and could even extend the loan until the end of the season.
