One last chance for Telford

The covers come off at Bucks Head yesterday
The tie has been called off twice but the FA have decided against moving the tie to a neutral venue for the third attempt next Wednesday and it will be played at Telford’s Bucks Head ground.

However, should the pitch still be unfit then the fourth attempt, scheduled for 5th round day, will be moved to a neutral venue.

Telford obviously need to do some work to get the pitch fit, their ground has not been used now since 13th December which does tend to suggest that they have something of a problem with it.

Yesterday’s postponement though did not cost Burnley any money from television revenue, the BBC never had a potential Telford v Burnley tie under consideration for live screening.

They held back on their second choice, which was Fulham or Everton v West Ham, because Fulham were unable to stage the game at the 5:35 p.m. kick off time because they were unable to secure the necessary policing required for the later kick-off time.

It was Fulham who went through and so the BBC have now been forced to switch to the tie between Sunderland and Birmingham at the Stadium of Light.

We believe that our tie, be it Telford or Millwall, was down in the bottom eighth place for a live screening, yes even below Sheffield United v Colchester and Tranmere v Swansea.
