One day to fixtures

Walkers Stadium - Clarets will know tomorrow when they will be making their first visit
Everything has been quiet for clubs so far but tomorrow the new season will come that bit closer with the release of the fixtures. They will be released by the Football League and the seventy-two clubs at 10:00 a.m.

Clarets Mad will be taking a look at the fixtures just as soon as they are made available and there will be some dates and fixtures we will definitely be looking for first. Following yesterday's disgraceful news of our ban from the New Den it is obviously going to be one of the first fixtures to pick out.

We will also be taking a close look at a couple of dates, 10th August the opening day and 26th December which is Boxing Day. It is four years since the Clarets were granted a home start, that was the 2-1 win against Bristol Rovers in Stan's first league game in charge, but it is five years since we last had a home game on Boxing Day and that was a dreadful 0-0 draw with Chesterfield in the Waddle season.

There will also be a couple of new grounds to visit although it is difficult to even describe one of them as a ground. That is Brighton's Withdeane Stadium certainly a venue ill equipped for First Division football. We will also be on our way to Walkers Stadium the new home of Leicester City.

This news is now less than 24 hours away.
