Oldham get game called off

Terry Pashley - wanted to play the game
It appears that the clubs disagreed with Burnley keen for the game to go ahead as per the fixture list, but Oldham having rescheduled their Lancashire Youth Cup tie against Tranmere for next Monday didn’t want to play twice in two days.

And it is the home side who have won the argument and as yet there is no new date for the game.

This is the second Burnley match this week to be called off, we should have visited the half a ground at Bloomfield Road for a reserve fixture yesterday but that was also postponed.

There’s no date either for Burnley’s Lancashire Youth Cup tie. We have been drawn at home against Blackpool, a team we have beaten twice at Gawthorpe this season in the league and in the Youth Alliance Cup.

This match will be played at Turf Moor and should be in the next couple of weeks.
