We've met just once previously in this competition and that was in the second round four years ago. On that occasion the game was played at Turf Moor with the Clarets winning 3-0 with goals from Keith Lowe, Ade Akinbiyi and John Spicer.
For Lowe and Spicer they were first goals in Burnley colours, Lowe's unfortunately not captured on film.
When the draw was made at lunchtime Simon Davey was in charge but after their home defeat today against Reading the decision was made to part company with the manager with the side bottom of the league.
They led 1-0 this afternoon with an Andy Gray goal but lost the game 3-1, this coming four days after they'd beaten Reading in the Carling Cup to win through to this round and a date with the Clarets.
The game will be played in week commencing 21st September and is likely to be on Tuesday 22nd.
