Nugent back at Burnley

Manager Brian Laws has said all along that he wanted to keep Nugent at Turf Moor and Nugent himself has made no secret of the fact that he wanted to continue at Burnley.

There were concerns last Friday when Sky Sports News showed him reporting for training at Portsmouth but all the time Burnley were doing their best to contact Peter Storrie to ensure we got him back to Turf Moor.

Yesterday Brian Laws said he would look for an alternative if he couldn't get Nugent but that chase has now, thankfully, ended with this news.

Since Laws became manager Nugent has been in the side when available, in the games at Manchester United and Bolton, and will be looking to get back into the side this Saturday for the visit of West Ham.
