North End want Grezza

Despite the win against Crystal Palace yesterday, North End are still in trouble at the bottom of the Championship and manager Darren Ferguson has noted that Grezza is currently out of the side at Burnley and would like him to make a return that would certainly prove popular with their fans.

It's reported that he's prepared to take on his Burnley contract in January, a deal which he signed in the summer taking him to the end of the 2011/12 season.

However, it does appear that it would be a playing contract only at Preston whereas club captain Alexander is, at Burnley, also a member of the coaching team.

It was in August 2007 that Alexander made the move from Preston to Burnley and was immediately played in the midfield role that he's played so well during his three years at Turf Moor. During that three years he's finally made his Premier League bow.

He still remains an important member of our first team squad and it is unlikely that Laws would be keen to see him go.
