Noel-Williams could be next

The manager is now off to look at players in Spain but his talks ended yesterday with Noel-Williams being made an offer than he has gone away to consider.

He already has an offer on the table from his current club Stoke but that is for one year and has been described as an insult by his agent. There is also interest from Brighton, Sheffield Wednesday and Oldham.

Suggestions are that the player is likely to accept the offer and if this is the case he could join up with Burnley sometime next week once Cotterill is back from his scouting mission in Spain.

The former Watford player scored thirteen league goals last season for Stoke, and led the line well following the departure of Ade Akinbiyi to the Clarets in February.

His goals looked as though they could take the Potteries side into the play offs at one point before they faded and eventually finished the season one place above the Clarets.
