No international luck for Claret

He has added another two under-21 caps to his collection but failed to score in either game, in fact the Greeks didn’t score a solitary goal.

Last Friday he lined up against Spain but the Greece lost that game 2-0, having won the home game 1-0 earlier in the season, and last night the side failed to score again as they were held to a goalless draw against Ukraine.

He played the full game last night but in Spain he was substituted after 70 minutes, replaced by Salpingidis.

The results leave them in second place in their group just two points behind Spain with Ukraine a further two points behind in third place.

They were the first games for Greece in the competition since the 6-2 win against bottom place Northern Ireland when Papadopolous scored a hat trick.
