No go in Alliance Cup

The tie was originally set to go ahead tomorrow morning but earlier in the week was brought forward to a Friday evening game to be played at Airbus UK in Broughton, home of the Welsh Premier League club, but it was no surprise to hear that the pitch is not fit following the colder weather this week.

It means three successive postponements for the young Clarets who have not played since winning 1-0 at Macclesfield on the last Saturday in October and they are next set to play a week tomorrow with a home game against Tranmere at Gawthorpe.

There’s still no news of a date for our FA Youth Cup tie at Hull and that, along with this postponed game at Chester, will be played in the next few weeks.
