No extension for Glen

The second month ends later this week and Stan has said that he will then be recalling Glen with the news immediately fuelling speculation that Luke Chadwick’s injury is more serious than was at first thought.

Chadwick, along with Paul Weller, is definitely out of the Carling Cup clash with Wolves at Molineux tomorrow and that leaves us very thin on the ground with only fourteen fit players at most available for the tie.

"I’ll bring Glen back now, I need him back here now," Stan said today and although he won’t return in time for Wolves he should be back with us later in the week. That doesn’t necessarily mean that Gareth Farrelly and Delroy Facey will automatically be returning to Bolton and Stan is hoping to be able to extend their deals.

Bolton though have told Facey that he has an opportunity to fight for a place and having already indicated that he doesn’t want to stay at Burnley on a permanent basis this could be the challenge that sees him leave us this week.

Everything is much quieter regarding Farrelly although Stan has said that we could not afford to sign him after his loan spell. The player though has said he would be pleased to add a third month to his stay at Turf Moor.

It will all be resolved one way or the other this week and the only thing for sure is that Glen is on his way back.
