Next away game doubtful

Should the game go ahead we will be without Gareth Taylor who was once again selected for the Welsh squad for their game against Finland in Helsinki. The rules start that you have to be without three players on international duty to call a game off and there is not much chance of that unless the Greeks have an under-21 game and Coxy returns to action with the Trinidad & Tobago tin pot outfit.

Derby though will certainly have two players unavailable. Goalkeeper Mart Poom will be with the Estonian squad and Georgi Kinkladze is expected to be away with Georgia. This means that should Derby get one more call up then they will apply for the game to be called off.

The local Derby press are expecting to see at least one more called up for under-21 duty and that would mean no game for the Clarets who are already one away game behind because of Ipswich Town’s involvement in the UEFA Cup.

It is just now a matter of waiting for the squads to be announced.
