New venue for the reserves

Boothferry Park - Clarets reserves will play there next season
In fact Stoke will be playing their matches at the Lyme Valley Parkway Stadium home of neighbours Newcastle Town who play in the North West Counties League.

But Stoke are not the only club to move away to play their games and once again we will visit Sheffield (Don Valley Stadium) to play Rotherham but travel to Chesterfield for the away game with Sheffield United.

There will be some disappointment for Burnley fans that the other club promoted, Hull City, will not play their reserve team games at the Kingston Communications Stadium but at the former ground Boothferry Park.

The other clubs, thankfully including Burnley, will play at the home ground. These clubs are Barnsley, Bradford City, Huddersfield Town, Preston North End, Sheffield Wednesday, Tranmere Rovers and Walsall.

The fixtures have now been released for the Central League which this season has reverted to an old sponsor and will be the Pontin’s League rather than the Avon Insurance League. We will bring them to you just as soon as Burnley make theirs available.
