Steve Cotterill - appoints Andy Mitchell as the Clarets new physio
Andy Mitchell will take over from Ian Liversedge as the new Turf Moor physio and he worked alongside Cotterill at Cheltenham during their rise from non-league football to Division Two of the Football League.

He left Whaddon Road at the same time as Cotterill and moved away from football to take a Masters Degree in Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Leeds whilst also widening his sporting skills with the treatment of cricketers.

But he was keen to return to football and having already had one successful spell with Steve Cotterill the 27-year-old jumped at the chance to move to Turf Moor and work with him again.

Cotterill said of his new appointment: "I'm delighted he has joined us. He is one of the most hard working and honest people I have ever met in my life."

He becomes the second member of Steve Cotterill’s backroom team to join the Clarets following on from Cliff Roberts who returned as Chief Scout last week.

The new physio’s work will start in earnest when the players return for pre-season training at the beginning of next month.
