The plans are part of the club's intention to improve the academy set up. Since the introduction of the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP) we even struggled to get a category 3 rating but are now intending improving the facilities to allow for us to apply for category 2 and potentially category 1.
The facility which will be on the opposite side of the River Calder to the current facility, will include the following which are requirements under EPPP.
Various sizes of external football pitches to offer rotational training
One indoor 60x40m football pitch
Changing facilities for the first and academy teams (total of eight)
Team meeting room
Guest lounge for parents
Match analysis suite
Medical and sports science facilities
Administration facilities for support staff
Players lounge
Catering facilities
Drugs testing suite
Gymnasium
Hydro Pool
Car parking
