New International Feature

It can now be found in the ‘Players' section and after a number of requests it has been extended to include players such as Trevor Steven and Lee Dixon, who went on to international fame after starting their careers at Burnley, and also such as Ian Wright and Paul Gascoigne who wore the Claret & Blue shirt long after their international careers had ended.

The feature has been split into two sections, the first is those who played international football whilst at Burnley, the second for those whose international careers were not when they were playing their football at Turf Moor and this second section is currently limited to post war players only although it is intended to extend it.

Most of the information is available, but we are still waiting to confirm the international records of Ian Cox, Drissa Diallo, Micah Hyde and Frank Sinclair although we have been able to put together a comprehensive list of games played by Nik Michopoulos and Dimitrios Papadopoulos, as well as finding Ade Akinbiyi's one appearance for Nigeria.
