Jay Rodriguez
Jay Rodriguez - he and Chris McCann have signed new deals
Both of them have penned deals that will extend their stay at Turf Moor by a further year until the end of the 2010/11 season.

Chris joined Burnley as an apprentice in the summer of 2004 and by the start of the following season was in the first team squad. He made his debut as a substitute against Coventry in the third game of the 2005/06 season and has now gone on to play over 160 league and cup games for the Clarets.

Jay came through the centre of excellence at Burnley and signed his two year apprenticeship a year later in 2005, going on to win his first professional deal for the 2007/08 season. He's been used mainly as a substitute by Owen Coyle but is very much an integral part of the first team squad now.

It's good news that both of them have committed to the club for a further year just two days ahead of our first Premier League season.
