The game should have been played on Saturday 25th August but was called off by the Football League following a request from QPR after Jones, out of the squad through injury, was killed in a road accident earlier that morning.
It was undoubtedly the correct decision and now the two clubs have agreed to the new date of Tuesday 11th December which was always the earliest possible date for it to be played because of other midweek games, international breaks and the Carling Cup which we are still involved in.
It will now be played three days after a trip to Molineux for our televised game against Wolves and before the home game against Preston which will be played on the following Saturday.
