Former Claret John Mullin rejoined Burnley in October 2009 as a part time coach within the club's Centre of Excellence. At the time he was still a player at Accrington Stanley.

He's since retired following a series of injuries and has remained with the club on that part time basis, but is now back in a full time capacity with the role as co-ordinator ofthe five to eleven year olds within the club's Centre of Excellence.

John, now 36, is currently studying for his UEFA 'A' licence and acting head of youth Jason Blake said: "The good thing about John is that he ticks all the boxes.

"He has a fabulous personality and he has all the right attributes in terms of character. He is conscientious with a good level of coaching and he is a great role model for the department.

"He is someone who came through the system and is a perfect advert for what we are all about in the youth department."
