Mr. Pompous thinks he has taken over the Football League

Mr. Pompous of Valley Parade
Excuse me Mr. Pompous but aren't you struggling to run your own club never mind a league of seventy two? From what I can gather it is a complete mess at Valley Parade following your inevitable departure from the Premiership last season and you have been doing nothing other than getting players off the wage bill since.

Only in the last few days another six players have, thankfully for you, reached the end of their contracts and you have taken the opportunity to cut the wage bill further and get rid of them. We have had the farce of you touting Benito Carbone around all season to get rid of him for financial reasons.

Your own supporters think you are a complete joke and would love to see the back of you but now you have taken it upon yourself to offer yet another invitation to Scottish outcasts Celtic and Rangers into the Football League.

From what I can see you have no power and no right to do this and it would be much better if you kept your ideas to yourself and kept your big mouth shut. This is not the Scottish League and we don't want them here. If anything I would like to see the back of Welsh clubs Cardiff, Swansea and Wrexham and let them play in their own league.

The good news is that Celtic and Rangers are hardly likely to take you seriously for the simple reason that nobody else does, now I think it is time the Football League and the other seventy one chairmen put you in your place and forced you to shut up.

The administration of the Football League is clearly not perfect but I can think of no way in which it could improve with you in charge of it.
