More international calls for Clarets

Following on from the news regarding Danny Coyne, Richard Chaplow and Michael Duff last week comes a call up for Jamaica for new signing Micah Hyde.

He’s off to Kingston, Jamaica where he will team up with the Reggae Boyz for their World Cup Qualifier against the United States of America.

It is a big week for Hyde who will be back at Watford on Saturday playing for the Clarets against his former club and will then fly out to the Caribbean on Sunday in time for the game on Wednesday.

Although he won’t be available for Stan’s testimonial he will be back in good time to enable him to play against Wolves a week on Saturday.

It’s great news for the Clarets that another of our players has been called up and after years of no international recognition coming Turf Moor way the recent call ups, added to those for Ian Cox, Nik Michopoulos and Dimitri Papadopoulos has certainly put our club’s name back into the international arena.

We wish Micah all the best next week, as we do the other players, and look forward to him helping Jamaica win a place in Germany for the World Cup finals in 2006.
