More international calls

Dimitri Papadopoulos - another Greek international call up
Dimitri Papadopoulos has been called up to collect more air miles and is away on Greek Under 21 duty from a week on Monday, 7th October until Wednesday 16th October. During that period the Greek’s have two games against Ukraine on the 11th and Armenia on the 15th.

This means he will be unavailable for our next home game against Walsall on Saturday 12th October and once again we will be without Gareth Taylor as well.

Wales play their next European Championship qualifier on Wednesday 16th October against Italy at the Millennium Stadium and Gareth has once again been selected although on this occasion it will not force him to miss a Burnley game.

Sadly though Gareth has picked up five yellow cards this season and he will now face a one match suspension. Typically this will be the game against Walsall and so, as was the case at Derby, we will be without two of our strike force.

Almost certainly this will mean Ian Moore returning to the starting line up to partner Robbie Blake and it is worth noting that they have started up front together in three of our four wins this season.

With Andy Payton also available we will still be well served for strikers despite Dimitri and Gareth both once again being unavailable.
