More international call ups

Danny Coyne, currently sitting on the bench after returning from injury, is again in the Welsh squad and that will mean another visit to Austria for the Clarets’ keeper.

The Welsh have two games over the Easter weekend, both of them World Cup qualifiers against Austria. The first is at the Millennium Stadium a week on Saturday and four days later the two sides meet again in Vienna.

Danny played in the last game for Wales, John Toshack’s first game in charge and will be hoping to keep his place having kept a clean sheet against Hungary in a friendly last month.

Loan striker Dean Bowditch is also off to represent his country, he’s been called up by England Under-19s and could make three appearances as they play in the qualifying rounds for the UEFA European Under-19 Championships.

He won’t have quite as far to travel as Danny Coyne does – they play Denmark, Sweden and Moldova on Saturday 26th March and then the following Monday and Wednesday. These games will be played at Blackpool, Bury and Crewe.
