Matt Heywood - signed for Bristol City
Matty Heywood was out of contract at Swindon and decided to make a move after four and a half years with the Wiltshire club. He's moved to Bristol City on a three year contract and is their third signing of the summer.

It's a long time since Matty made his debut for the Clarets, coming on at half time for Steve Blatherwick in a 1-0 home defeat against York. None of us watching that afternoon could have known that he and Chris Scott, also making his debut, were replacing players who had virtually been sacked in the dressing room during the half time interval.

He went on to make just thirteen league appearances for the Clarets and moved on in January 2001 for Swindon Town where he has been a regular in the side since, and a winner of a number of Player of the Year awards at the County Ground.

After over 200 appearances for them he has decided to move despite being offered a new deal by manager Andy King and is hoping that he might win promotion with Bristol City and get the opportunity to play in the Championship in a year's time.

Danny Sonner has moved around a bit over the last few years and joined Peterborough last August. He made just fifteen league appearances for Barry Fry's team and moved to Port Vale on loan back in February until the end of the season.

Having been released by Fry he's decided to sign for Vale on a permanent basis for next season.
