Manager Steve Cotterill yesterday claimed that he was very concerned at the current situation at Burnley with just nine players and admitted that he would have liked to have kept some of those he had released.

Camara he named, the others are believed to be John Oster and Tony Grant. He couldn’t agree terms with them and all three have decided to move on.

It was early this year that news broke that Ipswich had made an offer for Mo but it was turned down by the Clarets as we looked to hold on to the player who has missed just two games, both through suspension, during his two seasons at Burnley.

Joe Royle said at the time that it was unlikely that they would come back are now believed to be very much back in the frame along with Glasgow giants Celtic and a move there could see him playing Champions League or UEFA Cup football next season.

“Celtic have watched me three or four time,” Mo said. “We have not spoken to Martin O’Neill yet because I believe they are busy with games in the championship and Celtic have yet to make a formal offer.

“I have possibilities in England. Ipswich is one of those and they could be in the Premiership but I want to wait two or three weeks to consider my options.

There could be good news for at least one of the youngsters released by the Clarets this week. Oldham youth coach and former Claret Tony Philliskirk appears to be very interested in signing some of them and it is looking likely that Neal Trotman could be offered his third year scholarship with them.
