Micah Hyde to go Posh

It's been something of an up and down season for Micah, who was one of Steve Cotterill's early Burnley signings in the summer of 2004. He was placed on the transfer list at the end of last season, but with no takers he was with the squad when this season got underway.

He was on the bench for the first game of the season, but was named in the side that won at Leicester in the first midweek and kept his place right up to and including the 1-0 home win against Ipswich. He was out at Cardiff as the bad run of results started and has been in and out of the side since then.

Coming to the end of his contract in the summer, and certainly unlikely to be offered a new deal, he's now set to sign for Peterborough who have offered him a deal that takes him to the end of the 2008/09 season. The initial fee is £75,000 but there will be a further £25,000 due to the Clarets should the Posh win promotion.

Micah will go with our best wishes, and surprisingly for a player who scored only two goals for the club he leaves us all with one magnificent memory of the second of those goals at Ewood Park. Thanks for allowing us all to dream that night Micah.
