Micah Hyde brings Clarets a half century

Hyde had been in dispute with the Reggae Boyz since failing to turn up for a World Cup Qualifying Preliminary against Haiti in June but was back in the squad after he formally apologised to Jamaican Football Federation boss Crenston Boxhill, explaining that it was paramount that he found himself a new club.

He was back, in the starting line up and played well as they fought out a 1-1 draw with the United States of America as their campaign to get to Germany in 2006 continued.

Jamaica took the lead through Goodison but it all ended in a 1-1 draw with Micah playing throughout the game.

In doing so he became the 50th Burnley international, representing a total of six different countries.

Congratulations to both Micah and Michael Duff on winning their caps yesterday.
