Micah – case unproven

It was widely reported that there was an incident in the tunnel area at the end of the game last month and following the referee’s report Micah was charged with violent conduct, a charge he denied.

He asked for a personal hearing and that was this afternoon with Micah facing a possible three match suspension if proven.

But it wasn’t proven, and for the second time in a fortnight Burnley players have now had charges against them dropped, James O’Connor previously having his red card in the Millwall game overturned.

It all means Micah is free to play against Leicester this Saturday and that will be good news for Steve Cotterill who already expects to be without four first team players in Brian Jensen, Michael Duff, Frank Sinclair and Graham Branch as the Clarets get back into action, following the international break, for the first time since that win at Luton.
