Mears is the Birmingham star

Mears, who had a stormer at right back and also played in Steven Fletcher for the first goal, won both by some distance to take maximum points.

In the man of the match he polled no less than 47.5% of the vote and that was way ahead of second place Andre Bikey, scorer of the second goal, who polled 20.1%. Wade Elliott took third place with 16.7% of the vote.

It wasn't the same three players who topped the player ratings but Mears was still a clear winner with a rating of 8.87 out of 10. This time Elliott was closest to him with a rating of 8.23 whilst Fletcher, who got his first Premier League goal, took third place with a rating of 7.87 out of 10.

Mears wins six points, there are three for Elliott, two for Bikey with Fletcher collecting one point.

That's moved Mears ahead of Andre Bikey and Brian Jensen who had previously held the joint lead. Bikey and Fletcher are now second and fourth with Elliott's points taking him into sixth place.
