McMahon left Bloomfield Road last week and said he was off to recharge his batteries for a few weeks but he has now said he wants the Burnley job and believes he is the right man for it.
He produced a piece of football comedy earlier this year when he resigned his position as Blackpool manager but then interrupted the subsequent press conference to tell chairman Karl Oyston he had changed his mind.
From what I hear he can put his batteries back into the charger for now, it appears he is not being considered for the vacancy at Turf Moor.
