Chris was selected for their last games against Montenegro and Bulgaria but elected to leave the squad before the second of the two games after not getting a starting place for the second time. It looked to have put his international future in some jeopardy and he wasn't originally called up for this forthcoming game.

However, he's come in as a late replacement for Blackburn's Keith Treacy who has had to pull out because of injury. As was the case for the first of the two games last time, the squad will be managed by Sean McCaffrey with Don Givens currently involved with the senior team.

The full squad is: Darren Randolph (Charlton), Shane Supple (Ipswich), Eddie Nolan (Blackburn), Richard Keogh (Bristol City), Joe O'Cearuill (Barnet ), Darren O'Dea (Celtic), Stephen O'Halloran (Southampton, on loan from Aston Villa), Darren Dennehy (Everton), Stephen Quinn (Sheffield United), Darron Gibson (Wolves on loan from Manchester United), Owen Garvan (Ipswich), Jim O'Brien (Celtic), John-Joe O'Toole (Watford), Anthony Stokes (Sunderland), Chris McCann (Burnley), Adam Rooney (Chesterfield on loan from Stoke), Andy Keogh (Wolves ), Billy Clarke (Ipswich).

The game will be played next Tuesday, 5th February at Southampton, kicking off at 7:45 p.m. and will be screened on Sky Sports One.
