Matty Heywood picks up awards

Matty has done well down in Wiltshire since he made the move to Swindon from Burnley in January of last year and has now made 65 league appearances for them in the 2nd Division. We were aware that he was one of the more popular players at the County Ground but he is in fact more than just that.

This season Matty has picked up the Player of the Year award from the Supporters' Trust, the local newspaper the Evening Advertiser, the Supporters' Club and the official web site.

That's an excellent collection of awards for Matty after his first full season at Swindon and a great achievement for a player of just 22.
