Match Day with Clarets Mad

Last updated : 12 August 2002 By Tony Scholes

The build up to the games will start with a look at the opposition in our Match Preview section. This will be online at least 24 hours before the game and will take a look at the opposition, a look back at past result, feature a former player of both clubs and review the last time the game was played. All this can be found in Next Match Preview that is within our Clarets Latest section.

On the day before each game we will take a look at the referee and also the latest team news available, both these articles will be in Clarets News and will appear on the front page of the web site.

There will be match reports from all the games and David Clark will again be a regular match reporter for us. David is now in his third season with Clarets Mad and is the longest serving member of the team. Joining him this season we have a new member of the team in Steve Cummings who will be covering the Clarets for us both home and away throughout the season.

Both David’s and Steve’s reports from the Brighton game along with my thoughts on the game will all appear on the front page of the site. If you have missed any of them from the Brighton game then check out

Finally after the game we will have the managers’ views from the game and when available a report from one of the national newspapers. This can be found in Post Match Views again within the Clarets Latest section of the site.

Andy Robinson will not be reporting the matches this season but don’t worry he has not disappeared. He is running the Ask Clarets Mad section of the site and you will be seeing much more of Andy during the season.

We also have coverage of both the reserves and the youth team for you and this is in the hands of Peter Heywood again this season. All the reserves and youths news can be found in Reserves/Youths and that is in our Players and Fans section.

And finally I would just like to say welcome to Steve Cummings and also thank the entire team; their efforts and contributions to this site are very much appreciated by myself.
