Mackems want Robbie

That offer is supposedly on its way from Sunderland and is in the region of £600,000 and that quite honestly will be met with a firm refusal from the Turf Moor boardroom.

There is no doubt that every player has his price but Blake’s is considerably higher than that and recently Chairman Barry Kilby having accepted £500,000 for Gareth Taylor said there was no way he would accept that sort of deal for Blake.

It is said that Sunderland boss Mick McCarthy is keen on Blake to add more class to his side, there’s no doubt he would do that. There was very little if any class showing in the Sunderland team that we played recently.

Burnley fans will be very disappointed if Robbie Blake was to leave the club, he really has been a delight to watch this season, but inevitably if the right offer came in then we would see him go.

But that right offer is certainly not £600,000 from Sunderland for a player who every club in our division would love to sign.
