Alex MacDonald
Owen Coyle has apparently given the ok for MacDonald to head north to join Falkirk and the Bairns are hoping to rush things through to enable the 19-year-old to make his debut for them in next week's Europa Cup tie against FC Vaduz.

Alex played six times for the first team during the 2008/09 season, all as a substitute. The first of them was at Bramall Lane when he came on with the Clarets leading 2-1 in a game we went on to win 3-2.

His last appearance was at the Emirates in the FA Cup defeat at the beginning of March against Arsenal.

In the second half of the 2007/08 season we saw Jay Rodriguez go out on loan to Scotland. He joined Stirling Albion for the second half of that season.

MacDonald is expected to join Falkirk until the January transfer window.
