Lochhead to make draw

Andy is a regular at Turf Moor and is part of the team with his former strike partner Willie Irvine that hosts the executive guests before, during and after the game including the stadium tour.

A former Burnley captain he was the last player to score 100 league goals from the club, this coming on the last day of the 1967/68 season but within a year he had been sold and was playing in an FA Cup Final for Leicester City.

He'd added just one more goal to that ton and with cup goals had scored a total of 128 for Burnley and he remains the only player to have scored five goals in a game twice, a cup tie against Bournemouth coming just under a year after he had netted five against Chelsea in a First Division game.

He was unfortunate to be around at the same time as the likes of Alex Young and Alan Gilzean otherwise he would have had a string of Scotland caps, but he had to settle for ‘B' caps. He'd be an automatic in their side now.

My favourite Lochhead moment was in a 3-0 win over Blackburn Rovers when he spent the entire game tormenting their centre half Mike England, who went on to manage the Welsh national side. He wound him up so much that he finally retaliated and got himself sent off to shouts of derision from the Burnley fans that I am sure led to the name we use today for our local rivals.

It's always good to see Andy out on the pitch again, maybe he can just inspire us to a few goals tonight.
