He featured in six league games and looked all set for an extended stay but was in fact released.
Next stop was Carlisle where he was due to play in a friendly against Newcastle alongside three other trialists. He didn’t play and the other three were all offered deals so it was then off to Boston.
He played a reserve game for the Lincolnshire club and was offered a contract by manager Neil Thompson but as he had done with Blackpool he chose to turn it down.
Since then he has been back with Bury where he played almost 200 league games before joining the Clarets for a fee of £225,000. Always popular at Gigg Lane he has today taken the opportunity to return when manager Andy Preece offered him a one month deal.
He is expected to make his debut in Bury’s LDV Vans Trophy game at Rochdale tomorrow night.
