He did though this week play for Boston United reserves in the Avon Insurance League Cup at Scunthorpe alongside three other trialists. In a game that was won by Scunthorpe 3-2 at Glanford Park the Boston side included midfielder Alex Higgins from Chester, Sheffield United’s Mark Ward and former Barnsley striker Clint Marcelle alongside Lenny.
Following the game they offered terms to both Higgins and Lenny. Higgins immediately signed non-contract forms but as yet they have not been able to come to any agreement with Johnrose.
They were hoping to have both available for this afternoon’s home game against Torquay but it now appears that Johnrose will certainly not have agreed anything in time if in fact he does decide to join the league’s newest club.
