Leicester want Cotterill

They have taken that a stage further and have asked Burnley for permission to speak to Steve but that has been refused by the Clarets, but it could not have come at a worse time with the club in something of a turmoil following the sale of Ade Akinbiyi last week.

Just a week earlier Chief Executive Dave Edmundson had described Cotterill as the best manager outside of the Premiership but our manager is certainly not happy right now, he spoke out loudly and strongly after the Preston game, and in the nine days since we haven’t heard a word from him.

We may have heard the last of this, and there again it is possible that Leicester could be back, but much will depend on Steve Cotterill who is currently, we hope, trying to bring new players into the club ahead of tomorrow’s game at Brighton.

If we are not careful, we might find ourselves struggling to hang onto our manager as well as our players.
