Really, I should be encouraged by his recent behaviour. I was always of the impression that Pearson could put a glass eye to sleep in two minutes but his comments about our club in October, encouraged by that shocking radio station, left me furious as to how another manager could dismiss our club with such disrespectful words.
I think the problem came when, assisted by Ed Sheeran loving Mark Clattenburg, they beat Manchester United at home. He was full of himself in his little box then. believing Leicester were suddenly a top side.
They've picked up two points since, one against us and one against Sunderland, and it is so clear the pressure is mounting. There was talk that the Leicester owners might be looking for a new manager. If they are then he's played right into their hands by abusing his own supporters.
Now, I recall Stan Ternent charging down the touchline gesticulating at the Burnley fans after he'd substituted Andy Payton in a cup tie at Scunthorpe, but Pearson has taken it to a whole new level this week.
He's admitted to an altercation with a supporter, and apparently the suggestions are that it was abusive. He's since told fans to stay away if they aren't prepared to support the team. Clubs have different ways of upsetting their fans. We charge £40 for a midweek game; Leicester just get their manager to abuse them.
They were actually in front against Liverpool on Tuesday and there was a period during the games that night when things weren't going too well for us with West Brom also in front and QPR, for a long time, holding out Swansea.
All's well that ends well and as we left the Turf we were out of the bottom three, and would have still been so if Everton hadn't turned in a shocker last night against Hull.
Still, we're competing and we're delivering whilst I just wonder whether those Leicester owners are making plans for Nigel.
