Leicester keen on Micah

The news follows on from Steve Cotterill admitting that he had received enquiries for all four of the players who have been transfer listed since the end of the season, and the Foxes are the first club to be publicly linked with a move for Micah.

Rob Kelly, who was confirmed as manager after a successful spell as caretaker, is looking to add some experience to his playing staff and suggestions are that he could make a move for Micah as early as this week as well as trying to sign Lincoln defender Gareth McAuley.

That adds to the recent interest in Gifton Noel-Williams from Brighton, Millwall and Plymouth, and Steve Cotterill said: “I've had enquiries from all four of the lads who are on the list but there's nothing concrete as yet, so they could still end up staying and playing for Burnley next season.

“I had to make a difficult decision at the end of last season when I put them on the list and, for all their sakes, I hope they get something sorted out. They need to go and play regular first team football and, hand on heart, that was something that I couldn't promise them.”

There hasn't, as yet, been any confirmed enquiries for either Danny Karbassiyoon or Duane Courtney although it is believed a couple of lower division clubs in the north west could be keen on extending Danny K's time in the area.
