Lee makes Norwich switch

Lee left Ipswich only last August for Crystal Palace, a new striker for Neil Warnock, but things haven't worked out for him at Selhurst Park. He suffered an injury that kept him out for a few weeks and since then has struggled to cement a place in the side. Just last week he was an ineffective substitute against us on the Turf.

But he's jumped at the chance to go to Carrow Road for the remainder of the season, and that despite his previous association with Ipswich. He said today on completing the move: "I'm delighted, it hasn't been working out particularly well at Crystal Palace so to get the opportunity to come to a big club is really pleasing.

"There were a couple of other clubs in the Championship which I could have gone to but I felt I could come here and make a difference rather than playing the time out in mid-table. I can go somewhere and really contribute to the season."

He added: "I'm close to home here too. I live on the Suffolk-Essex border so my girlfriend was delighted I came home last night and I was lying on the sofa as usual. That was nice and it will be nice to go back there after training because I love living in East Anglia."

On his association with Ipswich: "I knew I was going to have to face some questions, but I'm sure if I score the goals and work hard the Norwich fans won't mind. I'll just be thinking about the games and looking forward to them.

"To help us win the game, that's what I'm paid to do and that's what I love doing. It's about goals, work rate and results, and the fans appreciate that."
