Langford is referee tomorrow at The Valley

Tomorrow will be his fifth Burnley game having first refereed us back in the 2010/11 season in a home fixture against Doncaster at the Keepmoat Stadium, the day Charlie Austin made his Burnley debut.

He was awful that night but since then hasn't fared too badly in other games although he's not a referee too often found in the Championship. This season has seen him move up to our level more often and, to date, ten of his 29 games have been at this level.

In those games he's yellow carded 65 players with just four red cards, and a word of warning for both sides with the news that all the red cards have come in Championship games. Of the yellow cards, 28 have gone to home team players and 37 to away team players.

The first of the players to see red was Blackpool's Jack Robinson at Bournemouth. That was the first of his three dismissals this season and it led to manager Paul Ince being sent to the stands and ultimately receiving a stadium ban from the FA. Blackpool went on to win the game 2-1.

Huddersfield's Joel Lynch was sent off in December in a 1-0 home defeat against Reading and, more recently, he sent off Sambe Diakite (Watford) and then Ben Gibson (Middlesbrough) in a game at Vicarage Road that Watford won 1-0.

Langford's last game came three days ago in League Two and Plymouth's 2-1 home win against Paul Cook's Chesterfield.  Liam Cooper and Mason Bennett (both Chesterfield) were the only players yellow carded.

The assistant referees are Ian Fissenden (Kent) and John Magill (Essex). The fourth official is Football League referee Mick Russell (Hertfordshire) who refereed our home game against Bournemouth in November.
