Lafferty bid rejected

Celtic's £500,000 offer was rejected in January, and just two months ago Wolves made an offer believed to be around £1 million. That too was turned down by the Clarets who said at the time that Kyle was not for sale.

And nothing has changed, Fulham's offer is officially undisclosed one but it is believed to be one of £2 million, the offer coming from Kyle's former Northern Ireland boss Lawrie Sanchez. However, Burnley have once again turned it down and stressed that our young striker is not for sale.

Steve Cotterill said: "I had a conversation last week to say that the offer Fulham had made for Kyle wasn't acceptable, but it was made and it is still not acceptable. We don't want to sell Kyle come what may, but there would obviously come a time if it ever got to a certain figure that the club would have to look at it.

"Having said that, we don't want to sell him, so we turned down Fulham's offer and are not anticipating another one."
