Kyle signs contract

Eighteen year old Kyle is in his second year as an apprentice and, along with Chris McCann, he joined the first team squad during the pre-season and made his first appearance as a substitute in the friendly at Cheltenham.

He was very much part of the squad in the early part of the season and made substitute appearances in all of the first five games of the season, four of them in the league and the Carling Cup tie against Carlisle.

Since then he’s slipped out of the reckoning and hasn’t featured once in the first team and has been back playing with the youth team and reserves, and only this weekend netted a couple of goals for the youths in the 5-2 win at Walsall.

His apprenticeship was due to end at the end of this season but he’s now committed himself to the Clarets for a further two years and will very much be hoping to become a regular member of the first team.

Steve Cotterill said, “We are happy that he has signed and can be part of the squad that is moving forward.”

Well done Kyle from all of us at Clarets Mad.
